Our Story

Why ClearLane Exists

ClearLane was founded by operators with deep experience across freight brokerage, logistics, and transportation operations — from dispatch floors to billing departments, from carrier management to accounts receivable.

After years of working inside the industry, we saw the same pattern repeat at every mid-size brokerage. Fast-growing companies with strong sales teams and solid carrier networks were bleeding money in their back office. Late PODs delayed billing cycles. Carrier invoices went unverified. Accessorial charges slipped through the cracks. AR aged past 90 days while nobody had time to follow up.

The problem was never a lack of talent — it was a lack of operational infrastructure. Mid-size brokers with 1,000-8,000 monthly loads were forced to choose between hiring expensive domestic staff they couldn’t scale with freight market cycles, or accepting revenue leakage as a cost of doing business.
