Do we need to adopt any new software?
No. There is nothing to license or install. We work inside your existing TMS and accounting software under logins you control. Where document automation would help and your data policy allows it, we can set it up. It is optional, and the call is yours.
How does ClearLane detect duplicate invoices?
Every carrier invoice is compared against what we have already processed for you: load number, carrier, date, and amount. Anything that looks like double-billing is held for review before payment is approved.
Does ClearLane replace my TMS?
No. ClearLane is not a TMS. It works inside your existing TMS. Your team continues using the same system for dispatch, load management, and customer relationships. ClearLane’s operations team logs into your TMS with dedicated credentials and handles the post-dispatch workflow: POD retrieval, invoice verification, billing, and collections.
How does carrier compliance monitoring work?
ClearLane continuously monitors each carrier’s FMCSA authority status, insurance certificates, and safety ratings. When a carrier’s insurance is about to expire, their authority is revoked, or their safety rating changes, the system generates an alert so the issue is addressed before you dispatch another load with that carrier.
Can I see what ClearLane is doing in real time?
Yes. Because ClearLane operates directly inside your TMS, every action is visible to your team: PODs uploaded, invoices verified, bills submitted, AR notes logged. You also receive weekly performance reports with key metrics including POD turnaround time, invoice accuracy rate, accounts receivable (AR) aging analysis, and revenue recovered through pre-billing audits.
Does bookkeeping work inside our accounting software too?
Yes. ClearLane’s dedicated bookkeeping team works directly inside your existing accounting software: QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, FreshBooks, or Sage. They record transactions, categorize expenses, reconcile bank and credit card statements, and complete month-end close within your platform. No data migration or new software is required.
How do you access our systems?
Through user accounts you create, scoped to the permissions you choose, and revocable at any time. There is no data migration and no copy of your operation living in a vendor tool. The work, and the audit trail, stay in your systems.
